Thank You!

It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will not be offering CSA shares for the 2017 season. This decision didn’t come easily and there were a multitude of factors to consider. The Buckwalter family will still manage and farm the land, but Coral and I will no longer grow vegetables or flowers.

We are sad to see this chapter of our lives come to a close, but are excited about our future. Coral and I have truly enjoyed the past nine years of growing our business and our community. There were many conversations as we made this decision, and the topic of our membership and community were always at the forefront. Many of you have become such great friends and we thank you for all of your support. It has been a true honor to grow for so many wonderful people and we will cherish our friendships and our community forever.

What’s next, you ask? Coral and I are actively pursuing new business opportunities, but before we settle into a new project we have decided to take some time for ourselves. As many of you know, farming is a grueling profession consisting of long hours during peak summer time. Our decision not to farm will afford us the opportunity to hit the road this summer and explore our nation’s great National Parks. Our son Hugh talks feverishly about camping and hiking in Yosemite and Yellowstone, so we look forward to broadening his horizons and doing some of the activities we are passionate about.

Perhaps this is just a hiatus and a chance for us to regroup. As I stated earlier, the farm will still be functional, but will not produce vegetables and flowers. There is a possibility the market stand will open for seasonal operation in the fall, so we will be sure to keep you up to date. Thank you again for your support and best wishes to all.

With gratitude,

Andrew & Coral
